Job summary

AB InBev UK is offering an Engineering Apprenticeship within the Reliability and Operations team at our Magor brewery. You will develop practical engineering skills while supporting planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and safe repairs to keep equipment running.

Under supervision you will learn across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automated systems, follow site safety procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement and 5S standards in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

  • Assisting with planned, preventive and condition-based maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and availability.
  • Developing fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automated systems.
  • Carrying out routine equipment inspections, identifying defects or deterioration and reporting concerns promptly.
  • Completing maintenance tasks in accordance with procedures and site standards, with safety in mind.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, product quality and environmental compliance in engineering activities.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and supporting safe, effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Recording maintenance work, inspection findings, equipment faults and parts used within the SAP CMMS.
  • Supporting root-cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contributing ideas to continuous-improvement activities focused on safety, quality and efficiency.

Seniority Level:Primary purpose and function of position:As an Engineering Apprentice, you will be an active member of the Reliability and Operations team, helping to maintain the safety, reliability and performance of brewery machinery, utilities and production equipment.
