Job summary

Co-op Group is hiring solicitors/fee earners to join its probate team within Co-op Legal Services. The role covers a varied caseload from start to finish, with client-focused service, supported by AI-enabled processes as the probate team grows.

The position offers hybrid working between home and offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford upon Avon, with full-time 37.5 hours or flexible part-time hours. A competitive salary ranges from £40,000 to £65,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified as solicitor or legal executive in probate or equivalent experience.
• Ability to prioritise and organise in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Client-focused approach with strong relationship-building in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Own caseload of probate cases end-to-end with AI-enabled tools.
• Maintain accurate information in the case management system.
• Engage with clients by telephone and email.
• Collaborate with support teams to develop legal skills and receive admin support.
• Mentor junior team members using your legal knowledge.
