Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant in Nottingham to support the class teacher across the Early Years setting. You will assist with small-group interventions and help pupils access learning within the school's SEN provision, contributing to individual targets and overall development.

The role requires experience with young children, a good understanding of SEND, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families in a nurturing, inclusive

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in Early Years or primary settings.
• Ability to deliver targeted small-group interventions and support learning within the classroom.
• Understanding of supporting children with additional needs, including SEND, in an inclusive setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher to deliver engaging learning opportunities.
• Work with small groups to develop key skills and confidence.
• Provide support within the school's SEN provision and help pupils access learning and achieve targets.
• Assist with social, emotional, and educational development of pupils.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
