The East Manchester Academy in Beswick is seeking a reliable Caretaker to maintain a safe and welcoming school environment. You will work under the Facilities Manager, handling day-to-day maintenance, security and upkeep of the site, and supporting health and safety compliance.

This hands-on role requires initiative, flexibility and the ability to prioritise tasks. You will perform portering duties, assist with projects, and respond quickly to issues to keep the school a calm place for learning.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities management or similar environment.
• Practical understanding of building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
• Able to prioritise tasks and carry out repairs efficiently.
