Job summary

The East Manchester Academy in Beswick is recruiting a reliable Caretaker to help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming school environment. Working under the Facilities Manager, you will handle day-to-day maintenance, security and upkeep of the site, supporting health and safety and helping to keep buildings fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking, facilities management or similar environment.
• Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks.
• Willingness to operate as a key holder and respond to issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and planned works.
• Support health and safety compliance, site security and grounds upkeep.
• Liaise with contractors, monitor equipment and stock levels.
