Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced School Caretaker for a primary school in Prenton (Birkenhead). The role covers mornings and afternoons on Mondays and Fridays, 7:00am-11:00am and 2:00pm-6:00pm, supporting site security, setup and daily cleaning.

You will open and close the premises, undertake site checks, maintain a tidy environment and act as key holder, ensuring a safe, welcoming school for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaker experience is essential.
• Experience opening, closing and securing premises.
• A reliable, proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Opening the school each morning and preparing the site for the school day.
• Carrying out site checks to ensure the premises are safe and secure.
• Setting up the school site and preparing areas for daily use.
• Undertaking cleaning duties and maintaining a clean, tidy environment.
• Acting as a key holder, including locking up and securing the school at the end of the day.
• Ensuring the premises are safe and well maintained.
