Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth and development of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data-driven insights, and implementing effective contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement tailored sales strategies that address the needs of smaller turnover customers, focusing on maximizing the placement of pattern books in the marketplace to engage trade customers who may not have regular visits from our road sales team.
  2. Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, and promote existing and new collections.
  3. Understand customer needs to maximize sales opportunities.
  4. Secure future business through appropriate service and support.
  5. Develop and deliver an effective customer contact strategy using all contact tools.
  6. Provide world-class customer service to maximize sales opportunities.
  7. Input customer feedback into CRM and work closely with the Customer Service Team to ensure order accuracy.
  8. Follow up on calls and emails, analyze performance, and provide data insights for further calls.
  9. Submit regular reports and monitor sales performance with management.
  10. Complete all administrative tasks related to the role.
  11. Meet personal and team sales targets.
  12. Employ effective sales techniques to promote products, upsell, and cross-sell, building stronger business relationships.
  13. Measures of Success:

  • Achievement of sales budgets and year-on-year growth.
  • Adherence to expenditure budgets.
  • Number of calls and emails made daily.
  • Sales success according to budgeted plans.

Connecting with Others:

  • Collaborate with sales colleagues, customer management, customer service, finance, and senior management to ensure optimal performance and business development.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven sales experience in call centers or mail order catalogues.
  • Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
  • Experience with products and demonstrating product knowledge.
  • Ability to build long-term business relationships.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and positive outlook.
  • Proficiency with CRM and WG360.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
