We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth and development of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data-driven insights, and implementing effective contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored sales strategies that address the unique needs of smaller turnover customers, focusing on maximizing the placement of pattern books in the marketplace. This is vital for engaging trade customers with infrequent visits from our road sales team.
- Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, and promote existing and new collections through sampling.
- Understand customer needs to maximize sales opportunities.
- Secure future business through appropriate service and support.
- Develop and execute a customer contact strategy utilizing all contact tools.
- Provide world-class customer service to maximize sales opportunities.
- Record customer feedback and actions in CRM.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to ensure order and sample request accuracy.
- Follow up on calls and emails.
- Analyze performance data to inform calls and strategies.
- Submit regular, accurate reports on sales performance to the Head of Customer Service and UK Sales Director.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks.
- Meet personal sales targets as part of the sales team.
- Employ effective sales techniques to promote, upsell, and cross-sell products, fostering strong business relationships.
Measures of Success:
- Achievement of sales budgets and year-over-year growth.
- Adherence to expenditure budgets.
- Number of calls and emails per day.
- Sales success relative to budgeted plans.
Connecting with others:
- Collaborate with sales colleagues for performance optimization.
- Manage relationships and develop business with customers.
- Review service levels and gather feedback with Customer Service.
- Analyze customer performance with Finance.
- Share and drive performance with Senior Management colleagues.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven sales experience, especially in call centers or mail order catalogues.
- Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Product knowledge and experience demonstrating it.
- Experience in building long-term business relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a positive outlook.
- Proficiency with CRM and WG360.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
