Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials Europe in Mansfield, UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to provide reactive and proactive maintenance to the plant and its machinery, ensuring uptime and safety across production lines.

You will follow instructions from the Maintenance Supervisor and Team Leaders, install new equipment to required standards, diagnose faults, repair components, and carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance in accordance with safety procedures and permits.

Qualifications

• 5 years+ experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Holds 16th–18th Edition electrical installation certificate.
• Proven PLC fault-finding with 3-phase ladder logic.

Responsibilities

• Provide reactive and proactive maintenance to plant and machinery.
• Follow instructions from Maintenance Supervisor and prioritize tasks with Team Leaders.
• Install new equipment to required standards and specs.
• Diagnose faults and repair/replace defective parts.
• Test performance and safety after repairs or installations.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance within competence.
• Adhere to permit to work systems and safety procedures.
• Maintain good communication with team and other department managers.
