Job summary

ESS Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to service and repair PLC-controlled plant and conveyor systems. The role involves electro-mechanical work, maintenance of compressed air and facilities, and input into preventive and predictive maintenance routines.

You will support the operations team to hit targets and coordinate with suppliers on new equipment and installations. A proactive, observant individual who can work with initiative is essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical trades qualification with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos.
• Process awareness; diagnostic / troubleshooting in high-volume environment.
• Good team player with initiative.
• Computer skills advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical repairs on PLC-controlled plant and handling/conveying equipment.
• Maintain plant facilities and services, including compressed air.
• Input and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance routines.
• Assist operations to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications.
• Keep work areas clean and compliant, including workshop and stores.
• Input data into CMMS and maintain records of changes and transactions.
