Job summary

United Utilities are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for Crewe Wastewater Treatment Works. You will plan specified maintenance activities across UU sites in a defined area, coordinating maintenance teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective asset reliability and move from reactive to proactive maintenance.

You will manage spares, materials and services, review new corrective work for priority, and proactively plan downtime to minimise disruption. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC or NVQ3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering.
• Significant hands‑on maintenance experience to meet business needs.
• Knowledge of plant operations, Health & Safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance across UU sites within a defined area.
• Develop maintenance job plans with resources and durations.
• Coordinate spares, materials and services for maintenance activities.
• Review corrective work for priority and readiness.
• Plan asset downtime to minimise disruption and maintain treatment continuity.
• Maintain and improve library of maintenance job plans.
• Support short- and long-term planning meetings.
