Job summary

United Utilities in Huntington is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Planner to coordinate planned maintenance across UU sites in a defined area. You will work with maintenance teams to develop accurate job plans, specify personnel, durations, materials, tools, and safety requirements to keep assets reliable and compliant.

This role emphasizes safety, proactive planning, and continuous improvement, including spares management, work order validation, and scheduling effective downtime.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC or NVQ level 3 in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering.
• Significant experience from time-served apprenticeship or hands-on work.
• Experience in water or similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop maintenance job plans with resources, durations and safety requirements.
• Coordinate asset downtime to minimise disruption and maintain treatment continuity.
• Manage spares, materials and services with accurate BOMs for critical assets.
• Review new corrective work for priority and readiness to be scheduled.
• Create and improve library of maintenance job plans with operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and support regular planning meetings.
