Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support a GP practice in St Ives. You will assist with routine clinical duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity within an organised primary care environment.

This role suits a proactive HCA with NHS experience, able to help manage patient flow, perform observations, and contribute to high-quality care delivery. Ad-hoc or regular sessions, with morning and afternoon availability.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation
• Supporting treatment room procedures and assisting clinicians
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained)
• Completing ECGs and routine patient assessments
• Providing lifestyle advice and health promotion
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required
