Sheffcare Ltd is seeking a practical and proactive Maintenance Operative to support upkeep across premises and grounds. You will assist the Estates Manager with planned, reactive and emergency maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance with health and safety requirements.

Based in Sheffield, you will be part of the Estates team, helping keep homes and facilities welcoming for residents and staff. A valid driving license for van transport and basic maintenance skills are preferred.

Formación

• General understanding of maintenance tasks across buildings and grounds.
• Ability to fault find on basic mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with basic stock control and materials management.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general maintenance work across Sheffcare premises and grounds.
• Support planned preventative maintenance for buildings, plant, machinery, equipment, furniture and fittings.
• Respond to reactive and emergency maintenance needs in a timely and safe manner.
• Use the Sheffcare Estates software system to assign and record maintenance requests.
• Carry out fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Drive light vans to transport materials safely and complete vehicle checks and log sheets.
• Manage appropriate stock control and report faults or issues to the Estates Manager.
