Job summary

Esland in the Bedford area is seeking a competent Maintenance Operative to join a multi-skilled team, delivering property upkeep and repairs across our care homes and other sites. You will perform plastering, carpentry, decorating, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and you must drive between locations with a company van; weekends: one Saturday every 6 weeks.

You will work with the maintenance team, follow health and safety rules, and use Jira to manage jobs.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastering, carpentry and decorating.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete maintenance and repair tasks in homes.
• Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance across sites.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report issues.
• Be available to work one Saturday every 6 weeks.
