Job summary
The Esland Group Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our Estates & Maintenance team field-based at our Belper Support Centre. You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance across our homes, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics and gardening, with a driving license and ability to travel between sites.
Jira experience is a plus, and you will work closely with the Estates Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in general maintenance with high standard of work.
- Experience in plastering, carpentry and decorating for homes.
- Knowledge of basic plumbing and electrics.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organisation.
- Safe use of powered hand and bench tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent IT system usage; Jira experience is preferred.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel between homes.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete general maintenance and repair in our homes.
- Carry out planned and reactive tasks with the wider team.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and report issues to management.
- Willing to work one Saturday every 6 weeks.
