Job summary

Medway Council is recruiting Private Sector Housing Technical Support Officers to join the team at level A. This is the entry point of the role, with induction, probation and a supportive Performance Appraisal pathway.

The post involves providing information to residents, landlords and professionals about Private Sector Housing and assisting in day-to-day operations. The role requires excellent IT skills and experience with database systems, and the ability to manage enquiries and support

Qualifications

• Excellent IT skills with experience of using a database system.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and deal with customers face to face and over the telephone.
• Experience assisting in processing means testing assessments and financial duties.

Responsibilities

• To provide support to the PSH team.
• Provide support to PSH Technical Officers with the processing of means testing assessments.
• Processing payments, grant and loan approvals.
• Maintaining records relating to service request, notices and legal files.
• Liaising with licence applicants to ensure full applications are submitted.
• Providing monthly report on the financial status of the service areas.
