Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Private Patient Liaison Officer to join our Private Patient Unit. You will be the first point of contact for patients, secretaries and insurers, providing accurate pricing, booking outpatient and diagnostic appointments, and guiding patients through private care options with sensitivity and professionalism.

The role requires flexible shifts across 8am-8pm, with occasional cross-site support.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patient enquiries and bookings for services provided at Chelsea & Westminster Private Patients Unit, responsible for delivering an efficient and faultless customer experience in handling both inbound and outbound customer enquiries.
• Handle self-pay enquiries from the public and maximise the conversion of enquiries to outpatient appointments, tests and procedure packages.
• Utilise the Hospital Booking Systems (Cerner and Compucare) to carry out functions such as validating demographics, managing appointments, and updating records.
• Arrange all theatre bookings and ensure patients are identified on theatre lists and literature is sent prior to admission.
• Book patients into outpatient/diagnostic services and ensure literature is sent, while keeping payment details up to date.
• Work across sites as required, cover evenings and weekends per rota, and maintain confidentiality and professional communication.
