Job summary

Wellington Management seeks a Senior Analyst, Private Equity Operations to oversee the private deal lifecycle—from approval through settlement and liquidity events—coordinating across Legal, Investors, Trading, Fund Services and back-office teams.

The role emphasizes process improvement, technology enablement (SQL/PowerBI/Tableau), vendor oversight, and ensuring accurate operational communications for private placements.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of private equity, real estate, evergreen, and secondaries investments.
• Deep understanding of private equity concepts across asset classes including equity, real estate, evergreen, secondaries, fund of funds, and PIPEs.
• Experience with industry technology/platforms used in supporting private equity & real estate strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute all components of the private equity deal lifecycle with focus on deal approval, pre/post execution, lifecycle events, IPOs and liquidity exits.
• Coordinate deal approval and lifecycle processes with private issuers and internal teams (Legal, Investors, Trading, Fund Services, Valuations, back-office).
• Analyze legal documentation related to private transactions to operationalize each deal (Stock Purchase Agreements, Credit Agreements, Subscription Agreements, etc).
• Track deal covenants, restrictions, and position changes for new and existing deals during security creation and lifecycle events.
• Coordinate activities during impactful events such as IPOs, restricted shares cleanup, SEC registrations, corporate actions, and distributions.
• Review and resolve discrepancies on reconciliation reports to keep the investment book in good order daily.
• Adapt and evolve processes, controls, workflows, and systems for new private funds and asset classes.
• Ensure stakeholders receive timely and accurate communications for operational events in private placements.
• Support data needs for performance and internal/LP reporting.
