Job summary

AS Equity Partners in London is seeking an Investment Analyst/Associate to screen potential opportunities, build financial models, and support due diligence and deal execution across a growing private equity pipeline.

You will work closely with senior professionals on valuation, deal structuring, and portfolio performance, with a hybrid working model and a focus on value creation for portfolio companies.

Qualifications

• 1–6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking and/or strategy consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, a related field or STEM; MBA/CFA/ACA/CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong integrated financial and LBO modelling, valuation, and financial statement and KPI analysis.
• Good understanding of accounting, transaction structures and debt financing.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Proficiency in Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg or similar platforms.
• Fluent English; a good command of one or two other European languages preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, sound commercial judgement, high ownership, clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Origination and research: screen investment opportunities, conduct company, sector and thematic research, maintain CRM and deal pipeline.
• Investment analysis: build integrated financial models, valuation analyses, return calculations and sensitivity scenarios.
• Due diligence: coordinate commercial, financial, legal, tax and operational due diligence, manage data rooms, trackers and timelines.
• Transaction execution: support acquisition, financing, refinancing and exit processes, prepare investment memoranda and materials.
• Portfolio management: monitor performance against budgets and investment plans, prepare monthly and quarterly reporting.
