Oculus Legal Group in Glasgow is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Solicitor with a Private Client focus to join our forward-thinking firm. You will enjoy genuine autonomy, exposure to high-quality work and a clear career pathway within a collaborative, high-performing team.

You'll work alongside an experienced Private Client practitioner to deepen technical expertise while contributing to the growth of our Private Client offering in Scotland.

Qualifications

• Scottish-qualified solicitor with Private Client experience.
• Ideally NQ to 3+ years’ PQE with core Private Client grounding.
• High technical competence, attention to detail and client focus.
• Motivated to develop long-term expertise in a growing, high-quality team.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients across Private Client matters in a supportive, well-resourced environment.
• Act for diverse clients including families and HNW individuals, delivering tailored advice.
• Advise on Wills, Executries, Trusts, Tax Planning and Powers of Attorney.
• Handle complex estate and tax planning matters.
• Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive, solutions-focused service.
• Collaborate with colleagues to grow Private Client practice via cross-referrals.

Key Responsibilities

• As part of the firm’s established and growing Private Client team in Aberdeen, you will advise clients across a broad range of Private Client matters within a supportive and well‑resourced environment.
• You will act for a diverse client base, including families, business owners and high‑net‑worth individuals, providing tailored, pragmatic advice.
• Advise on Wills, Executries, Trusts, Tax Planning and Powers of Attorney.
• Handle complex estate and tax planning matters.
• Build trusted relationships with clients through a clear, proactive and solutions‑focused approach.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to support and grow the Private Client practice through cross‑referrals.

About You

• Scottish Qualified Solicitor with experience in Private Client work.
• Ideally NQ - 3+ years’ PQE, with a strong grounding across core Private Client matters (if NQ, ideally have completed 12+ months or more in PC seats).
• High level of technical competence, attention to detail and a client‑focused mindset.
• Motivated by the opportunity to develop long‑term expertise within a growing and high‑quality Private Client team.
