Job summary

Hiscox UK is seeking a Private Client Manager to own and develop a portfolio of high-value Home & Private Client customers. You will manage relationships, service policies, handle renewals, and pursue new business opportunities to deliver a highly personal service throughout the insurance lifecycle.

The role involves building deep customer understanding, proactive outreach, and collaboration with Underwriters to ensure accurate risk information and appropriate coverage as circumstances change.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal lines insurance, account management or policy servicing.
• Strong understanding of home insurance and the insurance lifecycle (new business, adjustments, renewals, cancellations).
• Excellent relationship management and customer service skills, including complex/high-value cases.
• Ability to explain policy information clearly and translate technical detail for customers.
• Strong telephone and written communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage an allocated back book of Private Client customers, ensuring service, retention and growth.
• Be the named point of contact for home insurance needs with a personal service.
• Develop a contact strategy focusing on renewals, major life events and changes in circumstances.
• Proactively nurture relationships with timely, purposeful outreach beyond customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with Underwriters and internal teams to ensure appropriate cover and risk information.
• Lead renewals with early engagement and issue resolution while balancing customer and business needs.
