Job summary

Hiscox UK is seeking a Private Client Manager to own and develop a portfolio of Private Client customers, delivering personalised service across the policy lifecycle. You will build deep customer understanding, nurture relationships, and coordinate with Underwriters to ensure appropriate protection and timely policy servicing.

In this role you will handle inquiries, policy changes, and administration while driving retention, growth and high-quality customer experiences for home insurance

Qualifications

• Experience in personal lines insurance, account management, customer relationship management or policy servicing.
• Strong understanding of home insurance and the insurance lifecycle (new business, adjustments, renewals, cancellations).
• Excellent relationship management and customer service skills, with confidence supporting complex or high-value needs.
• Ability to explain policy information clearly and translate technical detail into practical guidance.
• Strong telephone and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High levels of accuracy, organisation and personal ownership.
• Commercial awareness to identify retention, referral and growth opportunities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with underwriters, operations colleagues and external introducers.
• Comfort working within defined authorities, controls and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage an allocated back book of Private Client customers, ensuring service, retention and growth.
• Act as the named contact for home insurance needs, providing continuity and a personalised service.
• Create and maintain a contact strategy for renewals and material life events.
• Proactively nurture relationships through timely, purposeful contact.
• Identify customers needing review and coordinate with Underwriters.
• Deliver end-to-end policy servicing and handle inquiries, changes and documentation.
• Lead renewal conversations and address retention risks with commercial balance.
• Identify cross-sell and new opportunities through customer conversations and life events.
• Support process improvements and collaborate with wider Direct High Net Worth initiatives.
• Represent Hiscox professionally at meetings, introducer appointments and events.
