Job description

I’m working closely with a highly regarded law firm who are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join their busy Private Client team.

About the Firm:

This is a well-established firm known for its exceptional client care and expertise in Private Client matters. The team advises on a broad range of services including wills, probate, trusts, estate planning, and powers of attorney. The firm offers a friendly and collaborative working culture with excellent long-term career prospects.

The Role:

As a Private Client Legal Secretary, you will provide key administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, helping to ensure the smooth progression of client files and exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and formatting legal documents such as wills, probate forms, and LPA documentation
  • Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings for solicitors
  • Liaising with clients by phone, email, and in person with professionalism and discretion
  • Assisting with file opening, closure, and archiving in line with compliance protocols
  • Supporting with billing and time recording
  • General administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and maintaining filing systems

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Private Client legal support role is essential
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Professional, compassionate, and client-focused communication style
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
