Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Private and Business Assistant to support the Chairman of a successful international multi conglomerate and his family. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive, reliable, and adaptable individual to work closely with a highly accomplished businessman, aiding him in his various business ventures as well as his personal life.

This is a multifaceted position with an approximate 60/40 split between business and personal support. The role will suit a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-level environment and is comfortable managing both corporate responsibilities and private household matters with equal finesse.

You will be a trusted right hand to the Chairman, taking ownership of key executive support tasks, including managing a busy and ever-changing calendar, coordinating meetings, and ensuring optimal time management. Acting as an effective gatekeeper for the Chairman’s inbox and schedule, arranging international and domestic travel, including flights, hotels, and itineraries, drafting correspondence, and liaising with senior stakeholders on the Chairman’s behalf. Supporting with ad hoc business administration and project coordination as required.

On the personal side, you will collaborate closely with the Chairman’s family to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This includes managing personal appointments, such as medical and dental visits, and coordinating social events, private dinners, and family functions. You will also oversee household contractors and maintenance, manage ongoing service providers, and plan and coordinate complex travel and holiday arrangements for the family, including creating itineraries and be available to provide real-time travel support.

Initially, the Assistant will be based in the Chairman’s South Kensington residence, which also serves as a home office. One of the early priorities in this role will be to source and set up a new central London office, overseeing property search and lease arrangements, interior design coordination, and logistics of moving office operations from the residence to the new location. This is an exciting opportunity to truly own and shape a key transition project.

On offer is a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm. Some flexibility is required, with occasional out-of-hours availability, especially during travel periods.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven experience as a Personal or Executive Assistant, or in a similar role, ideally within a high-net-worth corporate environment, supporting a Chairman, Senior Executive, or Founder Strong technical proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, is essential Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously Energetic and positive attitude, with a willingness to assist in various capacities A proactive self-starter who can independently manage their workload with minimal supervision and take the initiative to track and follow up on ongoing tasks Possesses a high degree of common sense and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with family members and colleagues across multiple businesses and household teams in the UK and abroad Excellent, verifiable references Right to work in the UK
