Job summary

Rhaelm is seeking a Privacy Operations Manager to run the privacy function within the Data Protection Office. You will translate priorities into practical work plans, manage workflows and reporting, and help business teams complete required actions on time.

The role combines operational management with hands-on privacy work and continuous improvement, requiring strong stakeholder management and a structured approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in privacy operations or related compliance roles.
• Experience managing privacy workflows, priorities and delivery.
• Practical understanding of data protection principles and incident handling.
• Ability to translate policy into clear procedures and escalate when needed.
• Experience producing management information and maintaining records using governance tools.
• Strong written communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Run the privacy operating plan, manage inboxes and case queues; allocate work and track deadlines.
• Coordinate rights requests from receipt to closure, including information gathering and response preparation.
• Oversee privacy incident responses; track decisions and escalate urgent matters to ensure regulatory deadlines.
• Administer privacy assessments, including DPIAs and transfer assessments; coordinate input and track actions.
• Maintain records of processing activities and policy review schedules with business owners.
• Produce management information on workload, response times, and recurring issues for governance boards.
• Improve procedures, templates and privacy systems; coordinate training and awareness.
• Coordinate evidence requests for audits and external reviews and support oversight of service providers.
• Coach colleagues and develop team members as assigned.
