Job summary

Rhaelm is seeking a Privacy Operations Manager to run the day-to-day privacy function within the Data Protection Office. You will translate priorities into practical work plans, manage workflows, and help business teams complete actions on time.

You will coordinate rights requests, incidents, and assessments, maintain records, and report on workload and progress for the DPO and governance forums. The role blends operational management with hands-on privacy work and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in privacy operations, data protection or a related compliance role.
• Experience coordinating rights requests, incident handling and privacy assessments.
• Ability to turn policy and specialist advice into clear procedures and workflows.
• Experience producing management information, maintaining records and using governance tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and written communication skills.
• Careful handling of confidential information with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the privacy operating plan, shared inbox and case queues. Allocate work, set priorities and monitor capacity and deadlines.
• Coordinate rights requests end-to-end, including information gathering, identity checks and response preparation within deadlines.
• Coordinate privacy team responses to personal data incidents, tracking decisions and actions to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Oversee privacy assessments, DPIAs, supplier reviews and transfer assessments; track outstanding actions.
• Maintain records of processing activities and policy review schedules; work with owners to keep information accurate.
• Produce management information on workload, response times and incidents for the DPO and governance forums.
• Improve procedures and privacy systems; coordinate training and awareness activities and establish a privacy champion network.
• Coordinate evidence requests for audits and assurance reviews; follow up findings with external privacy service providers.
• Coach colleagues and, where assigned, manage and develop privacy team members.
