Job summary

TPT Retirement Solutions is seeking an experienced Privacy Manager to embed robust privacy practices across our systems, processes and activities, supporting risk management, regulatory compliance and trusted handling of personal data.

You will translate UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and related frameworks into practical guidance, acting as a key point of contact for data protection across the organisation while working with colleagues to strengthen controls and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with UK GDPR, DP Act 2018 and related data protection frameworks.
• Proven ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance.
• Experience in DPIAs, data subject rights requests and incident management.
• Knowledge of data governance, retention and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting change, digital transformation or technology environments.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex requirements clearly.
• Stakeholder management and prioritisation abilities.
• Analytical and solution-focused in data handling.
• Knowledge of third‑party risk management and supplier assurance.
• Ability to build privacy controls and accountability frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical data protection guidance and maintaining policies, standards, guidance and playbooks.
• Managing Data Subject Rights Requests, personal data incidents, regulatory reporting and lessons learned.
• Maintaining Records of Processing Activities and support accurate documentation of data flows.
• Delivering DPIAs and risk assessments using a pragmatic, risk-based approach.
• Providing data protection input into projects, change initiatives, digital transformation and supplier arrangements.
• Promoting responsible data handling, including classification, retention, access and secure handling.
• Improving privacy processes, controls and accountability frameworks.
• Building relationships across teams to support data process mapping, risk identification and effective controls.
• Supporting supplier assurance where personal data is processed externally.
• Delivering training, awareness and governance reporting to strengthen data protection compliance.
