Job summary

the company is building a more sophisticated privacy function within its Operational Risk and Compliance team in London. You will translate complex privacy questions into practical guidance and help embed a risk-based framework for data privacy across the organization.

You will collaborate with product, technology, legal, risk and security partners, mentor teammates, and lead privacy decisions with clear evidence while driving responsible use of data in a regulated fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Substantial practical data privacy experience with strong knowledge of UK GDPR.
• Ability to explain complex privacy issues clearly to non-specialists and make credible recommendations.
• Experience leading or shaping privacy frameworks, governance, or operating models.
• Comfort working through ambiguity and taking ownership of difficult problems independently.
• Experience mentoring or developing others and creating standards.
• Ability to build relationships with product, technology, operations, legal, risk and security partners.

Responsibilities

• Turn complex privacy questions into clear, proportionate recommendations.
• Help build and embed a risk-based data privacy framework and risk appetite view.
• Partner with data and technology teams on data-use and governance decisions.
• Lead responses to significant privacy issues with well-evidenced decisions.
• Develop the Data Privacy Associate through mentoring and problem-solving exposure.
• Represent the first-line privacy perspective credibly with senior stakeholders.
