Job summary

Marks Sattin are working with a well known non-profit organisation to appoint a Privacy Manager to join its Legal Department on a temporary basis. You will provide UK GDPR and Data Protection guidance, partner with legal and business teams to deliver practical privacy advice and help embed a culture of compliance across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Must have IAPP CIPP/E qualification.
• Experience advising on data protection and privacy matters within private practice, in-house legal, compliance function.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
• Interest in working within a values-led non-profit organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on a range of data protection and privacy matters across the organisation.
• Support the delivery of privacy compliance programme and governance framework.
• Review projects, initiatives and business activities from a data protection perspective.
• Assist with compliance monitoring, risk management, audits and incident response.
• Support the handling of data subject rights requests and other privacy-related enquiries.
• Promote data protection awareness through training, guidance and stakeholder engagement.
• Work collaboratively with the Legal Department and stakeholders across the business to embed a culture of privacy compliance and best practice.
