Job summary

Taylor Root are looking for a Privacy Manager to join a growing second-line risk and oversight function within a highly regulated financial services organisation. This newly created role will strengthen the data privacy framework, ensure GDPR compliance and support future capability development.

The position involves hands-on policy work, stakeholder engagement, and reporting through governance forums. Salary £65-£80,000 depending on experience; hybrid role with 2 days in the Leeds office.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Data Use & Access Act, PECR and broader data protection frameworks.

This newly created role will be instrumental in strengthening and embedding the data privacy and framework, ensuring compliance with GDPR and wider data management requirements, while helping shape a developing capability area with significant future potential.

• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Data Use & Access Act, PECR and broader data protection frameworks, with the ability to apply these in a practical business context.
• Thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys building capability from the ground up.
• Can balance advisory support with independent oversight and challenge.
• Is confident engaging with senior stakeholders and governance committees.
• Wants to play a key role in shaping a growing strategic function.
