Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Specialist to lead our UK & Ireland privacy programme on a flexible, part-time basis. You will engage with senior leadership, across HR, Technology, Operations and Legal, and shape governance, compliance and operational privacy activities.

You will report into senior leadership and collaborate with multiple business functions while benefiting from genuine flexibility and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience within Data Privacy, Data Protection or a related compliance function.
  • Strong practical knowledge of UK GDPR.
  • Experience handling data privacy incidents and supporting compliance activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to privacy and compliance challenges.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve our UK & Ireland privacy programme.
  • Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs) and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Review and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects, systems and suppliers.
  • Coordinate Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other individual rights requests.
  • Manage data privacy incidents, investigations and remediation activities.
  • Deliver and coordinate privacy training and awareness initiatives across the business.
  • Review and update privacy policies, procedures and governance documentation.
  • Provide expert guidance on data protection risks, compliance obligations and best practice.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Technology, Operations, Legal and Procurement functions.
  • Drive consistency and continuous improvement of privacy processes and controls.

BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year
