Job summary

Greene King seeks a Data Protection Specialist to support governance, incident handling and privacy compliance across the business. You will work with the DPO to ensure records, DPIAs and data subject requests are managed efficiently and compliantly.

With a focus on risk-based decisions, you will draft policies, assist with vendor assessments and help integrate data protection into project delivery and BAU activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with data protection and privacy rights requests is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• High personal integrity and ability to spot and assess risks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with data protection law (UK GDPR, DPA, ePrivacy).
• Assist with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
• Manage data incidents, log actions and improvements.
• Support DPO and cooperate with the ICO.
• Maintain RoPA and records of data subject rights requests.
• Draft internal data protection policies and privacy notices.
• Support governance forums on data protection matters.
• Assist vendor selection from a data protection perspective.
