Job summary

Greene King is seeking a Data Protection Specialist to provide expert advice and support on data protection across the business. The role covers governance, incident handling, and DPIA support in a major UK pub company with robust privacy obligations.

You’ll contribute to policy drafting, records keeping (RoPA, data subject rights) and assist in ensuring data protection is embedded in projects and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Self-sufficiency, diplomacy and the ability to prioritise own workload are required.
• Ability to spot and assess risks with a high level of personal integrity.
• Influential and proactive in data protection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide data protection advice, training and support across the business.
• Monitor compliance with UK DP laws, codes and policies.
• Assist with data protection impact assessments and manage data incidents.
• Liaise with the Information Commissioner and keep RoPA and rights records.
• Draft internal data protection policies and privacy notices.
• Assist in vendor/supplier data protection activities during procurement.
