Job summary

His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service’s Isle of Wight site is recruiting an Operational Support Grade to help run a busy prison. You’ll support day-to-day operations, from gate security and searches, to deliveries, visitor supervision, and monitoring phone calls and CCTV.

No formal qualifications are required, but you’ll need to be a good communicator, stay calm under pressure, and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of a busy prison.
• Security checks and searches at the gate.
• Manage deliveries and supervise visitors.
• Monitor phone calls and CCTV.
• Desk duties and physical tasks, including lifting and escorting vehicles.
• Driving duties are required for the role.
