Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a delivery-focused role within the HMP Rochester Pharmacy to distribute medicines across Kent and Medway prisons. You will collect signatures, ensure secure in-transit custody and maintain GDPR and WDA/GDP compliance.

A valid UK driving license and experience with medication deliveries are essential. Responsibilities include following delivery routes, keeping transit bags sealed, recording signatures and liaising with prison staff to manage delays and

Qualifications

Experience of vocational driving.
Experience of working with medication deliveries.
Experience with manual handling in a healthcare or prison environment.
Previous prison/custodial, healthcare, security or other secure environment experience is desirable.
Ability to work independently and meet delivery schedules while following SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Deliver medicines across the Kent and Medway prison estate as directed.
Collect signatures from authorised personnel for deliveries and return records to the pharmacy.
Carry a radio and maintain contact with prisons during deliveries.
Ensure transit bags/boxes are sealed/locked and delivered intact to destination on time.
Follow designated routes and communicate delays to the prisons and pharmacy.
