Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our prison health services. You will manage medicines for prisoners under the guidance of a prison service pharmacist, dispensing against prescriptions and advising patients on safe use of medicines.

You will also supervise dispensary staff and help maintain standards and SOPs. The role involves working across dispensary, clinics and wings, with opportunities to develop through CPD and progression toward Accredited Checking

Qualifikationen

• SOPs knowledge and adherence are essential.
• Good computer literacy for pharmacy systems and records.
• CPD active to maintain professional standards.
• Registration with the GPhC is required; training toward checking technician status is welcomed.

Aufgaben

• Provide medicines management service to prisoners under pharmacist supervision.
• Administer medicines against prescriptions, advise patients on use and promote healthy lifestyles.
• Dispense prescriptions and stock items; supervise dispensary assistants.
• Act as accredited checking technician for final checks or medicines optimisation.
• Maintain high standards in dispensary, clinics, wings and through SOP adherence.
• Assist Senior Prisons Technician with medicines optimisation SOPs.
