Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant to support the prison-based pharmacy service. You will handle stock control, dispensing activities, and assist with administrative tasks in a fast-paced, patient-centred environment.

The role requires willingness to undertake NVQ Level 2 modules and compliance with GDP guidelines, with training provided where needed. This position is based on-site within a prison setting.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services required or willingness to undertake via Oxleas.
• Experience in pharmacy or healthcare environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with stock control and dispensing processes.

Aufgaben

• Dispense medicines against prescriptions screened by a pharmacist using the pharmacy IT system.
• Keep the dispensary clean and tidy at all times.
• Assist with drug alerts and recalls as needed.
• Record fridge temperatures daily to maintain cold chain integrity.
• Report errors to senior pharmacy staff or Responsible Pharmacist.
• Work towards NVQ Level 2 modules if not yet achieved.
• Assist with filing, photocopying and general office tasks.
