Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Bank Prison Services Pharmacy Technician to work at HMP Channings Wood. The role provides medicines management within a prison setting, under the supervision of a prison service pharmacist, dispensing prescriptions and supporting daily dispensary operations.

You will dispense, stock medicines, supervise assistants, manage stock top-ups and review expiry dates and storage facilities, reporting deficiencies to the pharmacist and helping with medicines

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and stock items under supervision.
• Supervise dispensing assistants when in the dispensary.
• Undertake stock top-up services and review expiry dates and storage facilities.
• Report any deficiencies to the prison service pharmacist.
• Provide medicines management support within the prison setting and assist with medicines optimisation.
