Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Locum Prison Cleared Recovery Coordinator in Manchester. This 3-month, full-time contract runs Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, with a competitive hourly rate.

You will assess service users with substance misuse, develop recovery and resettlement plans, and coordinate access to treatment, healthcare, housing, and employment services. The role requires prison clearance, relevant health and social care qualifications, and experience in criminal justice or

• Evidence of continuing professional development in recovery, addiction, or offender rehabilitation.
• Desirable training in safeguarding adults and trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users presenting with substance misuse and associated vulnerabilities.
• Develop, implement, and review personalised recovery and resettlement plans to ensure continuity of care post-release.
• Coordinate access to vital resources such as treatment services, healthcare, housing support, employment programmes, and more.
• Maintain effective working relationships with prison healthcare teams, security departments, probation services, and partner agencies.

• Proven track record of collaborating with both statutory and voluntary sector organisations.
