Job summary

Change Grow Live is seeking Bank Recovery Coordinators for flexible sessional shifts at HMP Portland and HMP The Verne. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of £17.32 and pro rata earnings, with supportive teams and opportunities to contribute to recovery and community impact.

You will build relationships, run group sessions, complete assessments, and work closely with healthcare partners in a prison environment. DBS check is required; closing date is 24 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, healthcare, or related fields.
• Ability to engage individuals and facilitate group sessions.
• Adaptable to a prison environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Collaborative, person-centred team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with service users.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

You'll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey by:

• Building positive, trusting relationships with service users
• Completing assessments, recovery plans, and referrals
• Delivering engaging group sessions and workshops
• Supporting people to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm
• Promoting recovery, independence, and successful reintegration
• Working collaboratively with healthcare teams and partner agencies
• Encouraging and empowering individuals to achieve positive, lasting change
