Job summary

BMS Performance Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair commercial printing equipment across customer sites in the Stoke-on-Trent area. You will diagnose faults, replace components, and perform preventative maintenance while delivering high-quality customer support.

The role combines mechanical and electronic fault-finding with IT networking tasks, ensuring printers and related devices stay operational. On-site work with ongoing technical training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing printers and multifunction devices.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Basic IT networking knowledge for device integration.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites.
• Excellent customer handling and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair printers, photocopiers and scanners at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults and perform component-level repairs.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits.
• Troubleshoot printing performance, paper handling and scanning issues.
• Assist with configuration of printers to customer IT networks and systems.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on operation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to resolve complex faults.
• Maintain accurate records of visits, repairs and parts used.
