Job summary

Student Times in the Leeds area is seeking a hands-on engineer to install, service and repair large format printers for a major manufacturer. You will work from home with travel across the Leeds–Newcastle corridor and occasional nationwide trips.

The role suits someone starting their career or seeking a change, with enthusiasm for fixing things, driving, and learning. Overseas training and fully expensed hotel stays are provided, with a company car or equivalent allowance.

Qualifications

• Interest in fixing and understanding equipment.
• Basic knowledge of networks and Windows applications.
• Full, clean driving licence and valid passport.
• Willingness to travel and stay away overnight.
• Desire to learn and long-term commitment.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair large format printers at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and basic IT issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships.
• Identify potential upgrades and new sales opportunities.
• Travel mainly Leeds–Newcastle corridor; nationwide travel when required.
• Attend overseas training; stay away overnight with hotels paid.
