Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer (Remote, United Kingdom)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a balanced mix of remote work and onsite presence, ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Create technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including preparing technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA designs and datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA validation for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate has experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing a fresh perspective to traffic signal design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
