Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and design plans
• Design and prepare MOVA datasets and validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and are looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
