Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer – United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision.
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, adhering to approved procedures and specifications.
• Provide technical oversight in creating new product ideas and design plans.
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role and bring new perspectives to traffic signal design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications.
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking.
• Experience with LinSig 3.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
