Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Joining our Engineering Team at Telent, you'll be empowered to innovate and collaborate with technical experts, contributing to critical infrastructure connectedness and protection 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and planning
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Apply standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience in designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives on Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
