Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer United Kingdom (Remote) Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and planning
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
