Summary:

JAB Recruitment is currently looking to source a Principal Consultant – Supply Chain Management (SCM) on behalf of our Operator client, a global energy company focused on delivering safe, sustainable, and cost-effective energy solutions. The successful candidate will support procurement and contract management activities across global business services, with a strong focus on renewable-specific third-party services. This role requires an experienced supply chain professional with a strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a solid understanding of procurement processes within the energy sector.

Role Overview:

The role involves global procurement support, third-party business and project support services, especially focusing on renewable-specific services such as studies, permitting/consenting, owners engineering services, reviews, verifications, etc.

The candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational procurement and contract management in line with category strategies, ensuring compliance with governance, mandates, laws, and regulations. This includes developing scopes, procurement strategies, sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, contract awards, management, claims, warranties, and purchasing. Effective project and stakeholder management are essential, involving collaboration and clear roles with customers, decision-makers, suppliers, and partners. The goal is to deliver commercial, effective contracts and procedures that ensure timely, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish procurement strategies based on business needs, category strategies, and market input.
• Issue requests for information (RFI).
• Prepare evaluation procedures.
• Manage enquiries and bid clarifications, conduct meetings.
• Plan and conduct negotiations.
• Evaluate bids and award agreements, obtaining partner approval.

Agreement start-up activities, including:

• Implement contracts in all systems (Plan-to-Pay).
• Contribute to risk-based follow-up plans to ensure understanding and compliance.

Manage performance and relations, including:

• Ensure correct use of contracts and monitor KPIs.
• Ensure SOX compliance.
• Handle contractual issues, amendments, variations, and change orders.
• Manage contract cancellations and terminations.
• Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships and supplier relations.
