Job description

Redefining how people live.

At Blueground, we believe that when your base is reliable, the world opens up. That’s why we’re building the world’s leading platform for living.

Every year, 350 million people move between cities—yet today’s housing options haven’t caught up with the needs of this modern, mobile generation. Blueground was built to change that.

With 40,000+ homes across the globe, available for stays from a few days to a year or more, we’re just getting started. We’re on an exponential growth path to redefine living and create an entirely new category. Our edge? Powerful proprietary tech, operational excellence, and a team that executes with speed and discipline.

Our culture is grounded in five principles:

  • Guests First – Every decision starts with their experience.
  • Move Fast – We value speed, momentum, and action.
  • Dive In – The magic is always in the details, and we go deep.
  • Embrace Change – Change isn’t a disruption; it’s how we grow.
  • Keep It Honest – Transparency accelerates progress—and strengthens relationships.

If you’re ready to do the best work of your life and help reshape how the world lives, we’d love to meet you.

The Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Real Estate Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our property portfolio in US. This is one of the most critical and high-impact roles at Blueground, responsible for acquiring new units, building strategic partnerships, and shaping the future of flexible living in the US's most competitive real estate market.

If you’re a savvy dealmaker with deep market knowledge, a strong network, and a passion for scaling high-growth businesses—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Portfolio Growth: Identify, pitch, and secure leasing deals with developers, landlords, and multifamily property owners that align with Blueground’s portfolio strategy.
  • Market Strategy: Conduct neighborhood-level research to determine ideal locations, building types, and unit specs that match Blueground standards and guest expectations.
  • Partnership Development: Build and nurture relationships with key real estate players—including property owners, brokers, and developers—to drive long-term supply growth.
  • Deal Negotiation: Structure win-win leasing partnerships, overseeing deal terms, lease execution, and property onboarding.
  • Cross-functional Execution: Collaborate closely with internal teams (Legal, Ops, Finance, and Launch) to ensure seamless handoff and successful unit activation.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage junior Real Estate Associates, supporting team performance, development, and local strategy alignment.
  • Policy Awareness: Stay ahead of local regulations and public policy to ensure portfolio compliance, risk mitigation, and strategic advantage.
  • Strategic Input: Provide London market insights to the broader leadership team to inform company-wide expansion planning and business model evolution.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate, business development, leasing, or investment sales
  • A proven track record of closing real estate deals, securing leases, or managing high-stakes partnerships
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a knack for balancing business goals and partner needs
  • Entrepreneurial drive, with a get-it-done mentality and a strong sense of ownership
  • Sharp analytical thinking—comfortable with market data, pricing strategy, and financial modeling
  • Strong local market knowledge of Central London real estate and an existing network is a big plus

Your benefits:

  • Competitive salary and annual performance bonus
  • Laptop stipend & monthly mobile plan reimbursement
  • Flexible PTO
  • Cigna Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401k retirement plan
  • Paid maternity/parental leave benefits for new parents
  • Complimentary accommodation in Blueground locations. Think summer in Greece and winter in Dubai!
